Hoffman Community Partners

Born in Hartford in 1860, first as the Dashaway Club and then as the very first Boys Club that started a nationwide movement, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford became both an early lifeline of support and a lifetime touchstone for thousands of the city's at-risk kids ages 6 to 18 and their families. Whether challenged by economic, family or social disadvantage, children who participate in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford's myriad of services, learn to "Be Great," growing and evolving into their full potential as caring, productive and responsible citizens. Hoffman Auto Group is a proud sponsor of the BGCH; the company's relationship with the organization began with Burton Hoffman. Hoffman celebrates the Boys & Girls Clubs' 150 years in the Hartford community and is also the lead sponsor of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford's 2011 Annual Spring Gala and Silent Auction, March 31st at eh Connecticut Convention Center. Since it was founded in 1951, HARC, Inc. has catered to Connecticut's intellectually disabled citizens. Today, HARC's education, wellness and enrichment programs meet the needs of anyone, from infants to the elderly. Hoffman is proud to sponsor their annual Walk-a-Thon, this year to be held at Rentschler Field in September. For more information, visit www.harc-ct.org.
According to the Brain Injury Association of Connecticut, brain injuries disable more Americans each year than breast cancer, MS, spinal cord injuries, and HIV / AIDS combined. Since 1981, the BIAC has worked to make brain injury resources and education available to Connecticut. They play an active role in brain injury related legislation as well. Hoffman Lexus is proud to partner with the BIAC for the Brain Injury Awareness Month in March. For every Lexus sold during the month, we will donate $100.
